Even though I am only 26weeks pregnant, I've spent the school holidays going crazy with nesting-especially cooking! I now have a total of 18 family meals in the freezer. I feel SO organised :D
-
That is very organised Bubbles. You will appreciate the hard work when you bring your new baby home.
Is this your first baby Bubbles?
-
No I am very lucky, I already have a DD (4) and DS (2) :D
My DH will be doing long hours from when the baby is due end of Oct, through to Christmas, not finishing until 9ish most nights. I found that quite stressful when DS was born, so it will be amazing to see the difference having a TMX this time. :)
-
Bubbles HI, you will be fine. Cooking up a storm with your thermomix...
-
That is so good bubbles, you will definately find the meals handy. :)
Hope all goes well for you... :-*
-
congratulations bubbles , thats a huge effort getting all those meals ready so early
they will come in so handy

Oh another baby due in October. My sister is due the 28th. Very exciting time.
And your so organized which I'm sure will be a huge help when the baby arrives. :)
-
Good people are born in October 8)
-
Yes Dizzy, scorpios...
-
I'm guessing that your birthday is October DG?
-
Yep Mandi the big 40
-
Wow 40. I'm not turning 40 next year, I'm going to postpone my birthday :D
-
40 is just a number..... :)
-
It is Obbie - but a big one! I wasn't coping with the thought of the big f ... f ... f ... forty last year, so hubby gave me 3 options after I had a little tanty and stamped my foot! (very childish for an almost 40 year old I know!) He said I could have all my friends at a restaurant to celebrate, or have caterers come in to our home and cater for a party, or leave the country for a week. I chose option 3 in a blink of an eye and promptly booked Mum to come and look after kids, then booked a 5 start hotel overlooking the bay in Hong Kong for a week!
It was wonderful.
I'm sure I didn't turn 40 as there was no fuss, no hoo hah, lots of sensational food, the hotel was fantastic and my dear hubby spoilt me to death.
I wanted to do it all again this year but he wouldn't agree :(
Anyway ... congrats on your baby bubbles - and keep freezing those meals, you'll thank yourself many times over!
-
For my birthday I had the party you have to have. The rellies you don't like, because you have to.
For my next biggie, I am going away for the weekend, no party at all. :D
-
Yeah - go octoberians!!! ;)
-
I have no idea what I am doing. Don't want a party as it wouldn't be a celebration without dad.
Perhaps a weekend away is in order. My besties down the Central Coast are planning something for me down there too.
-
DG - do what YOU want to do - not what everyone else wants you to do and certainly not what you think you should do to keep everyone happy...if that makes sense!
I certainly bucked the system when we went away last year with reli's rather disgusted that I had left the country when it was such a big think I had to celebrate ???. They were also disgusted that I had left our girls with my Mum ??? ??? And they were so put out that I didn't have the big shindig they were all "expecting" (free food and booze) that they then didn't even send a birthday card let alone a pressie! They still give not so sly digs now when I see them :-))
It was very funny!
You are the person who has to be happy with the whole thing.
Life is way too short to try and keep the blinking reli's happy.
Rant on reli's over ;D
Bubbles - so sorry for hi-jacking your thread. My apologies.
-
Haha no I love it! I love hearing about all the varying birthday celebrations. I had a big 31st birthday party almost 2 years ago, because I was heavily pregnant with DS when I turned 30. :D

Ooh I am due on the 28th as well! But I was 15 days overdue with DD, and 11 days overdue with DS, so I'm thinking it will be mid -November realistically :-)) ;D
