Title: Risotto using mince
Post by: Lexi on July 11, 2012, 04:12:56 am
Ok for 18month old I am wanting to make a risotto but using mince instead of meat.  Would I cook mince first then add to risotto?  Does anyone have a TMX mince risotto recipe?

Lexi, i don't have one for the TMX but on the Not Quite Nigella blog she has a bolgnese risotto for either the slow or pressure cooker that looks lovely.

Have a look at the Swiss beef recipe on here. It is like a mince risotto. (I think it's that recipe)

My 14 month old loves the apricot chicken risotto. I just put the chunks in front of him & help feed him the rice.
He's been eating it for a few months now.

we've had food issues so I've avoided apricots etc but am thinking of trying them out.  We have narrowed down in the last couple weeks that sulfur is a huge problem for him, so now relearning all my cooking but with sulfur low :/
