It's a silicone baking mat (http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B002OHDA40/ref=asc_df_B002OHDA408667201?smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&tag=hydra0b-21&linkCode=asn&creative=22206&creativeASIN=B002OHDA40&hvpos=1o5&hvexid=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=18655544691963090190&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=) DJ Thermomix Australia have their own brand.

love my thermomix branded bread mat - it's not too expensive either and you can use it in the oven/fridge etc and cleans easily (just wipe it down). highly recommend getting one if you do a lot of baking/pastry making etc!

I haver 2 breadmats. A TM one & a french brand. The french one was cheaper & it is far superior. Use them all the time. The french one I use in the oven for cookies as well as bread & other things. My TM doesnt go in the oven as I hear it stains, the french one doesnt.

Halex, I use my ThermoMat in the oven and it doesn't stain. I have a beautiful French one too, but its not as flexible as the TMX one. You couldn't wrap bread dough in it, which is what I do with my ThermoMat.

I have some of these. http://www.lakeland.co.uk/5571/Magic-Non-stick-Liner-33-x-100cm-Sheet
Is a mat different? I have almost worn these ones out have been used so much.
Sorry to keep asking.
thanks

DJ, these are very different. The one you have is a lot thinner than the Aussie TMX one. I have several of these thin ones and use them for baking all the time. I also have a TMX mat and a French one. I don't use the TMX ones in the oven, although I know you can. The TMX mat is the one I use always to make bread and scones on. You cannot cut on it with a knife, must use plastic.
The thin silicon Magic sheets are great and I cut them to size to fit favourite baking dishes. Even cut one to fit into my Bread Machine bucket. Hope this helps.

Helene's spatulas are perfect for use on the TMX mat.
