Hey everyone,
I'm going overseas for a week next week and feeling a little guilty. I would love some recommedatioms of things could cook that would keep in the fridge and are easy to heat up. Any tips?
Thanks,
Charde

yes, just go and enjoy yourself. leave the EDC on the bench and some veges in the fridge, a couple of take away flyers, and the rest will take care of itself :D

Lucky you Charde!
I guess a nice thick vegie soup or the Goulash soup:

Is he a dessert man? I would make a batch of the berry coulis and make sure there is a tub of icecream in the freezer.
hope that helps a little and never feel guilty about leaving them ;)

sorry, I should be more serious/tender. My poor DH knows that if I'm not around he has to feed himself.

I don't think you can leave enough food for him to last a whole week Chardie - I'm sure you wouldn't want to give him food poisoning. Perhaps freeze some meals in single serves to give him variety throughout the week but you can be sure he will resort to takeaway if he is like most men ;)
I must admit I would want to do the same as you but that's only because I've never been married to a man who cooks. If he did I would certainly expect him to look after himself. Have a great time overseas.

What I woukd be doing is doubling everything I cook this week & freeze it in portions for him.
I always leave food for dh when I am away. Curries, casseroles, lasagna, pasta dishes etc.
Enjoy your trip

I used to until about 30 years ago and I had to fly back to the city from Broome in a hurry. I was running around like a chicken without it's head regarding DH's meal. He gently pointed out that he was big enough and ugly enough to look after himself. I no longer worry. I will leave him some biscuits when I go away though as he wouldn't make them himself.
He certainly appreciates my cooking when I return.
I hope you have a lovely break chardie18. DH will be fine.

I am going away next month, so will have some meals in the freezer for DH to heat up.
