Title: How long does it take your TMX to get to Varoma temp?
Post by: ELH05 on June 25, 2012, 11:23:53 am
Just wondering - i had a recipe which needed to cook for 30mins at Varoma temp - just watching it now and it toOk nearly 10mins to get there ?  Is that a really long time or is that right ?  Water in the bowl was from the tap.

The recipes take this into account ELH05 and at the end of the 30 minutes, it should be cooked.  If it isn't just add some more time.  Remember to reset the varoma button though.

It does take quite a while (depends on how much water) but is much more energy efficient than a kettle.

I usually use hot water and reduce the cooking time.

I find that it also varies according to the temperature of the ingredients as well as that of your kitchen.
