Hi. I had a go at making Oliebollen yesterday but my DGS didn't accept them as doughnuts because they didn't look right and wouldn't try them.
Just wondering if someone could please tell me the name of a doughnut plopper contraption I've used in the past. Surprisingly, I can't find it via Google. ;) I hired it from a bakery when we ran a doughnut stall at school fair some time back.
(Not that I think Oliebollen need to look like commercial doughnuts.)

They are a donut dropper :). The commercial ones are by belshaw (and licensed to a couple of others), there are also cheaper plastic versions that some kitchenware shops sell.

From the old days,we have always called it a "donut iron" and the same with a "waffle iron".
