At the moment, I am storing items like seeds, flour, nuts in the finished flour containers I have bought or nudie juice containers. I was thinking of buying some bormioli glass jars in the sales and was wondering how everyone else stores this kind of stuff, especially if you use glass jars.

I prefer glass to plastic for storage but it's currently about 50 : 50 in my larder. Many years ago I got my hands on some really big jars which I now use for flour, sugar, rice, pasta, etc. and pick up medium sized ones from various shops / markets from time to time for other things. I find the plastic cereal containers great for cereal because of the indent along the side, which makes holding and pouring from them so easy, but I am working on replacing all the plastics over time.
I just feel that there is too much plastic in my world and would like to get rid of some, but not sure what to do about freezing, is there anything that can successfully replace plastic bags and containers in the freezer?

My MIL gave me all her old coffee jars which I use for all my cooking ingredients. They are large and hold almost 2 kg flour.

I have some big glass jars, and use loads of tupperware as well.
Sometimes you find good old glass jars at op shops.

I use plastic. Most of it is decor brand as it's quite cheap.
-
I use tupperware as it stacks nicely in my Baking drawer.
-
I have Tupperware for things like crackers, bread, cakes, biscuits, cereals, etc. And I have lots of different size glass jars which I use for a range of things, such as flours, sugar, grains, nuts, seeds and dried fruit.
When I'm putting ingredients or foods away in containers/jars, it really just depends on what I have that isn't already filled with something! :-))

I have to store my stuff quite high in the pantry so plastic suits me best, glass would be too heavy. Plus I stack containers on top of each other which gives me much more space.
-
I'd find glass jars too heavy and messy if I dropped one :-)) Like the idea of the milk containers Uni - a nice handle to hold onto whilst pouring would make life easier.

I once dropped a glass jar after I'd just emptied a 2kg bag of sugar into it. I was lucky it missed my feet because I wasn't wearing any shoes :o
It was a bugger of a mess to clean up though, you're certainly right there Judy :-))
