Title: TMX to the rescue - oven out of action
Post by: cecilia on June 07, 2012, 06:23:13 am
I am doing a delivery next week to a kitchen where the oven is currently broken.  So I was wondering if people would like to help me make up a list of recommended main meals and desserts that will be able to produced only in the Thermomix.

* All soups, so that's nice for a start.

* Steamed veges.

* Risottos and pasta dishes.

* Healthy "Roast" Chicken from Devil of a Cookbook

What else?  Please help.

For a demo, when the oven is broken, as long as I know ahead, I just cook the bread at home and do the dough normally for demonstration.  This is a new Thermomix owner, and I want to help get her started with confidence, so I'm willing to do some research, but hoped people here could give some tips.  Thanks to everyone here for your ideas too.

60-90 minutes, I should think, but in my mind at the handover, I will make Varoma Bread and maybe something else to demonstrate the chopping - soup or something they can have for a meal later on.

I am thinking of getting her set up with selections for menu planning, when I'm gone, so I'm looking for links to forum recipes, as she will have EDC.

I would just tell her to come onto our forum and look under all-in-one meals Cecilia.

You could always prepare the meals in the TMX and freeze them. She can then cook them when her oven is working. Pizza dough, lasagna, cookie dough, etc

The stir fry from In The Mix is an easy, family friendly one pot meal.
Varoma bread
If she has a microwave - muffins would work.
