DIL and GD called in this morning and insisted on vacuuming the house for me.  It really didn't need it but it was nice of them to come and do it for me.

Even if it didn't need it, what a lovely thought, lucky you!

Been super busy lately as both DD and DS were off to boarding school this year . All good DS happy . Have to say yesterday was meant to be a quiet day As DH had to go to Melbourne for appointments and the mandatory trip to Ikea , one more desk chair ! In short the lambs got out onto road ! No longer have a farm helper ! So neighbor , who put some back in a paddock said he would come back and get the rest out of the reeds ! I rushed , work boots jeans , Ute , put on stock trailer( had a little help here by MILs painter) . They were in the dip of the road in the creek by the drain that goes under the road . These reeds are as tall as me . Heartbreaking stuff . As I was on my own there was no way I could help . A very long hour later flashing light attached to roof of Ute five men a Shepard's crook and 8 stinky large lambs out . Four very muddy neighbours later too . Thankful of their help I then drove back to the farm got the gurney out , did ask if this was a good idea , tried to wash off the mud ..Had to back the trailer into the sheep yards , determination nearly got me there . Improvised added gates open trailer then they would not all get out , finely out yet I now was covered in stinky mud ,they had water gave a clump of hay , took trailer off . DH is very happy , treated myself to a binge watch of Big little lies on Foxtel .

Super effort K Atie. The joys of farm life.

I went up to my local Westfield this morning. I had a couple of things to do there. Most of it had no power! There was security men walking round with cards for free coffee, so I took one, had a free coffee and drove back home.

K Atie,  what an effort.  These things seem to happen when you most need help.  You did very well.

Yes so true . DS drove the ace to the semi in the paddock , then moved the semi so hay could be loaded on from around the paddock! DD helped DH move sheep . They were hot and tiered , let's hope homework will get done now and how can teens bedrooms get so messy in a day ! Yesterday DS put together another IKEA desk chair with arms . Think arvo will be inside as too hot to work outside .

Getting some well overdue jobs done here, cleaned out one side of a spare wardrobe so will drop 2 bags of shoes and clothing to the op shop. Booked a plumber and a home security company for next week for blocked drain and a battery replacement. Jobs usually come in 3’s but I fixed the bore problem myself yesterday.

Well done on fixing the bore Judy. Is your SIL a handy man at all?

The one in Melbourne is and the one here is getting better at it.  I’m rather independent though and arrange my own solutions to problems.

Well done Judy.  We also have lots of small jobs that need doing.   We try to be as independent as possible.

My goodness KAtie what a task to get your lambs home. Well done. Everyone seems to have been busy, even in those high temperatures you are all experiencing.
