Wow, it looks so easy, I can see some wonderful copies of this coming up. I can see the weight going to my hips just looking at the video.

It certainly looks lovely and would be very impressive. I love Mara's macarons on Helene's site too.

I see on Helene's blog there are a few steps that you must follow. The most important is the TM bowl being scrupulously clean so the meringue can work.Have you seen the Creamy Vanilla Frosting posted here that has been a great success.

Yes I have just had a look at that creamy vanilla frosting but didn't think it suitable to fill my macarons (they worked)
Might have to return to my kenwood chef for meringues x

Ps I did follow all Helenes instructions

A big congratulations on getting your macarons to work. They are not easy. I have varying amounts of success with mine.

I have been dreaming of this swiss and italian meringue buttercream all night
I might give it another go
Taking it as far as the heated part then transferring to the mixer as it just didn't cool down quick enough but the recipe did say to cool it down

I will report on progress but it won't be soon

Yes macarons are so hard to get right but I used thermomix and they are lovely
Thank you xxx
