I like that Laucke bread Chookie.
Judy that all looks delicious. I'm sure you will both enjoy it.

My sister only ever makes bread in the bread machine.  She saw my Laucke German Grain Loaf, so bought a packet on her way home.
Judy, all those dishes look yummy.
I made some bread rolls. Not my best effort.  Should bake when you don’t feel like it.

Thanks cookie & Chookie, I’ll be interested to see if I can eat some of the lamb otherwise it will just be the veggies & gravy.

No cooking here today. We have run out of goodies so I got some out of the freezer. It is DH's birthday on Saturday so I plan to make him a marble cake. White, pink and green so that he can share with the budgie.

Happy Birthday to Cookie’s DH.  Looks like budgie will enjoy it also.  ;D
More Lemon cooking. Maybe Lemon muffins. More Marmalade.
The Quince paste, Balsamic vinegar marinade, converted to TMX is very nice. Will try it on roast pumpkin today.

Happy Birthday Mr Cookie.

Thank you, I will pass on all your lovely wishes to DH tomorrow. His cake is in the oven. I ended up making a zebra cake in pink, green and yellow.

Those dishes look very nourishing and warming, Judy, hope you enjoyed them.

Stay safe over there as well, as I am sure there is some of this COVID spread from the removalists who headed over to SA after their visit to Victoria.

Thanks Marina. My friend really enjoyed the Irish stew, I didn’t but I was happy to know it was quite OK for a ‘normal’ person. I don’t particularly enjoy cooking for others when I don’t know the real taste of the food.

We ate some of DH’s birthday cake today.
I also made a new bread recipe. It was a SD one with an overnight rest. You mix everything and leave it overnight. Then pop it into a loaf tin, let it rise and bake it. No kneading at all. I like the flavour but might do a couple of stretch and folds with it next time as I felt all the flours weren’t properly mixed. https://www.karenskitchenstories.com/2021/07/no-knead-sourdough-sandwich-bread.html

Cookie, great cooking.  I would love a slice of that cake.  I’m not normally a great cake eater, but since the Diabetes diagnosis, I want cake!!
Yesterday I made another lot of the Lemon and carrot marmalade. I added a good splash of Cointreau.  Very very nice.
Also copied your Spring roll idea for the sausage roll machine. Look good.
Also, curry mince to fill bread rolls, biscuits and Portuguese Custard tart. Lemon Barley cordial.

Made a batch of RTE's Oatmeal Raisin Cookies.  Didn't have raisins so used cranberries.  It made a huge batch, I put some of the dough into the freezer but have masses of cookies and no one to give them to!  I shall have to roam around our neighbourhood shops that are open and give them away that way.
