Where is the recipe for banana ice-cream Cookie.  You have been busy today, it's nice to have days like that.  I'm winding down now as we leave on Wednesday so am trying to use up things before we go.  Will be nice to have all the cooking done for me for a change but I have to learn to say no to the souffles - I had one every night last cruise.

i made the lime coconut cookies of course! then for dinner i made an indian spinach dish which is perfect for the TMX (will try to write it up soon) http://www.aayisrecipes.com/2009/02/24/palak-tambli/
i also did tenina's naan to go with it though that was a bit of a disaster as i forgot to put the MC back in after adding flour so that flour went ALL over all our cooking implements which could of course make rora really sick so they all have to be rewashed and the kitchen needs a total clean down to de-gluten it :( (was the first time i'd attempted something like that in months and talk about backfire...)

The banana icecream is a mix up of some other recipes and turned into a TMX one. I will post it as it's very nice.

Enjoy your cruise Judy.

Well today, being Sunday, have been able to dedicate more time than usual to my THX!!
Have made delicious Strawberry Jam this morning for breakfast, Chicken & Serrano Paté (my 3 yr old licked out the THX clean afterwards!) Salt baked Pork Loin and  Cold cream of Celery, now am going to make Bolognese Sauce, Spanish Omelete and some Strawberry Friands!!! Oh and a huge Flan (Creme Caramel in English) As I was given 24 double yolk eggs yesterday!!!
Will try and get some photos on....I promise, its just I have a bit of ironing to try and squeeze in too!!! ;D

I made soft boiled eggs in the THX...fantastic, has anybody tried that one yet. I am very impressed! Even my husband had to admit that they were perfect for dipping our toast in. The yolks were perfect and no cracked eggs or mishaps. Would never boil an egg any other way again! :D :D

What time. temp did you use?  The "best" eggs are supposedly cooked for about 1 hour at 62 (?) degrees - according to many of the pundits such as Thomas Keller (French Laundry).

A little trick that you may like to try (maybe don't want to waste time too !!!!) is to break an egg into a plastic bag.  Tie it so that there is almost no air and then place in steamer basket so that yolk is in centre.  Once it cooks - usual temps and time, allow it to cool a little, open bag carefully and it should look almost like a flower with the yellow yolk in the centre and white petals of egg white.

It looks impressive  :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\ when plated and especially if you are serving it on a muffin for guests and then pass around the hollandaise (made in the Thermomix while plating up)

Saw this done by the chef from Dassa Bsssa (Madrid) at Alambique when he was making "English-style" bacon and eggs (with bacon foam !!! - yeah maybe we won't do that  ;D ;D ;D)

This is the only way I will ever cook eggs again, Amanda!

Have to agree. TMX is the ONLY way to cook eggs, from lovely soft dunking yolks to hard yolks for salads etc. Everyone in the family can do them too.

Thermomixer, 500g water in THX, eggs in basket and program 11 mins. My eggs are the huge double yolks, so if they are smaller I would do a minute less. Temp Varoma, speed 1. Done. Like Amanda says, go have a shower and ready! I like my eggs for dunking soldiers. Absolutely perfect! ;D ;D ;D

I totally agree. I hated cooking boiled eggs before TMX. Now I'm quite happy to cook them up for the kids on a Sunday night for dinner.

Yes - we love doing the in the TMX.  Our egg cooker is one of the things to be put away now - in fact, I have it up for sale at the moment.  They're perfect every time.  We put in cold water, and do them for 9 minutes.  8 if the eggs are small.
As my picture shows, I've suddenly become younger :-)  DD was of the opinion that her picture should be here, not mine!

I made dried apricot icecream yesterday, it's very nice. I'll post the recipe later. Also made the herb stuffing mix for our roast chicken and some lime butter that I hope to use today to make some mini lemon/lime meringue pies. Will make the pastry for those too.

At the class I went to last night they boiled the eggs in the Varoma. I would never have thought of that. They mentioned that they never get dark rings around the yolk if done that way. I don't seem to have that problem just using the basket either.
