Good that you got to have your break before the rain came cookie.  It’s always nice to see your pictures.

DD and I went shopping. I needed a few groceries to keep us going until Wednesday. Tonight I will sit back and enjoy my footy team playing..at least I hope I will enjoy it.

Tidied up back door for kitten to explore soon , lots of cuddles . Thankfully DD Covid test came back negative, now she can come out of her room and no more food delivery by me . Still it’s good to see rest was needed . DS and DH are out spreading mouse bait in the paddock tonight . dS was driving the seeder today .

Caught up on lots of small messy jobs. Very cold over night, frost.  -1 but feels like -5.

Ouch, I don’t think I like your cold at all Chookie. I’m feeling cold and it’s 16 degrees.
I did some washing and popped it out to be re rinsed by the rain. Then I goofed around. I’m trying to read my book club book and it’s a bit of an effort. I’m sure it’s a literary masterpiece but I’m not enjoying it.

Well day one of on line learning . So l cooked , played with the kitten , spent ages on the phone trying to book Covid vaccine . Had a telly heath appointment with my ( and mums ) GP ...so kind asked about each of us how we were and the loss of DM . Kids eat a lot , pumpkin soup ,vegetarian sausages rolls . Then marinated lamb slow cooked roast on at lunchtime. Then where DD had Covid test they rang to say she had a virus .. my heart stopped- not Covid we already had a negative result. All good but yes poor DD is prone to anything. Very impressed with their care . It was so cold today but the sun in the afternoon was warm , the wind not so much .

Spent time on phone with several friends in ISO. Think it is going to be extended.  Very cold but sun was shining. Dropped some fresh eggs off to neighbours.  Also 1/2 Lemon Ricotta cake. GD got other 1/2.  No contact.  Again, a lot of people out walking.

DD1 thinks the same Chookie, she said the rumours are out and about and in Melbourne rumours are usually true.
I’ve been a bit lazy of late and content with staying home doing very little so I gave myself a good talking to this morning then went out to browse a reasonably new shopping mall.  I just felt like spending some money I think and bought bits and pieces here, there and everywhere.  I need cook books like a hole in the head but because I’m eating vegetarian 90% of the time at the moment these 2 books will amuse me for a short time then I can hand them over to Vegetarian DD1 when she eventually returns home to live.  A very late lunch today as I took my time and had a good look everywhere, I even did a food shop in Coles which is something I never do unless I’m looking for something I can’t find anywhere else.

They look interesting Judy. We did a coffee run this morning with the old car...the black one that looks like Elliot Ness's.

I think the rumours of the lockdown being extended will eventuate - it seems now you can catch this strain of COVID from simply being near an infectious person ... if that isn't scary enough to keep you indoors I don't know what is!!!

It sounds like you have the essentials covered Marina. It is very frightening that this type can be caught walking by someone.
