Courton, I wear mine on and off. I walk to school and back in the mornings and thats a huge amount of steps, can't remember but I know that if I do the morning shift and the afternoon shift which I do most days I am well over 10,000 steps. Thats not even going to the gym.

I find it easier to do the steps if I have jobs, i.e. walk to the shops, post a letter, return library books etc. Walking to these places doesn't seem much but as part of a routine it clocks the steps up.

I used to play a little challenge, can't sit down and have a cuppa until  had walked so many steps etc.

My up hasn't been used for a little while, must charge it up and use again.

Hope this helps :)

couton it is an effort for me to get up to 10,000 steps daily as I really have to work at it as I sit at the computer all day. It inspires me to take the dogs for walks and even longer walks if I'm low on steps. I  park my car in a remote spot of shopping carparks just to get the extra steps, and wouldn't quibble if I had to walk from one end of the shopping centre to another just to notch up a few more. The couple of hours that I need to charge it up always seem to be my most active and I kick myself that the steps are not being included for the day  :D What I do like about he flex is that its water resistant so I don't have to take it off.

I'm like you CP. I do my 10,000 some days but not others. I'm really not aiming for the 10,000 until my back is fixed. I do like to see how I'm going each day though. I will pm you my fitbit details. I know you won't growl at me for being slack. Unfortunately ironing doesn't do many steps.
I had to buy new bands for my fitbit on Saturday as I pull the band over my wrist and I have broken it. The band was getting a bit yucky anyway.

I think you are right Halex and CP. Today I had to go to the shopping centre and have already done 4200 steps! Need to do more shopping rather than the sedentary lifestyle I lead normally!

I've had a Fitbit one for ages but my brother recently got one and we've been quite competitive with our steps some days. I sit at a computer all day at work so I struggle to get even above 3000! I get about 7-8000 only because I hope on the cross trainer after work most days.

I saw they've got 3 new ones coming out next year, 2 of them can read your heart rate.

I have a pebble smart watch. Today I did 4500 steps. Only worked a few hours this morning. That's one of my better days. Normally when at work I average 2-3000 steps.

My shopping came from the US today. A mandolin, sausage maker for my kitchen aid, 2 pairs of salt water sandals (fuscia and yellow) and two nest smoke alarms (wifi connected etc).

I'm pretty active these days and go to the gym, long dog walks or a jog 5 days a week but years ago I used a product like the fitbit and it was great to get me thinking about the steps I actually take each day. I have a sedentary job so really need to make the effort and found that without going for a dedicated walk I would never get the 10,000. They are great to make you think  about and incorporate incidental exercise in your day.

What site do you buy from inaid? Sounds like great shopping, love to hear how you go with the sausages.

The Australia Post parcel man just came. I have to go out and buy some food before we starve, but it is going to be hard leaving this at home without getting a sneak peek.

What I wouldn't do for some cheese right now Cookie, what a great read!
Great work with your steps Robyn!
I bought this mag for the first time today,  mostly because of the Thermomix feature (which will be a regular thing!). I like their fb page and the mag looks good too, a family oriented Donna Hay style :)
