CC you can see what we had for dinner last night. Very impressive. I honestly don't think tonight's will go anywhere near it.

I was pleasantly surprised by dinner last night, apart from some service issues - mains coming at the same time as dessert, but mine was tasty. Thanks to Cookie for organising.

That was rather poor wasn't it?  I have it for my feedback. Also Gert's Prosecco was quite warm. A couple of other issues too, but the food was ok and the company excellent.

It was 'unusual' (or perhaps unique might be a more appropriate word) service last night, wasn't it? and I know some of the food was not as hot as it should have been, whilst the Prosecco was warmer than it should have been - all somewhat disappointing, but it all added to our special memories of another wonderful FF get together!  As my DH would say, you tend to remember the bad times more vividly than the good times so, working on that theory, maybe it is good that these things happened!?

Last night DH cooked a roast chicken in the weber (We are 'looking after' one for a friend who has gone away ATM), and tonight I am going to try my hand at using it (DH has done all the cooking on it so far) to to a lamb shoulder with potatoes, sweet potatoes, pumpkin, & corn cobs on weber and steamed brocolli (Miss 4s request) and gravy in the thermie  ;D
hope i don't stuff it up  :-))

Yes, DH is pretty keen on getting one now, and I'm feeling rather smug as he has a birthday coming up in 2 weeks time..... ;)
