I replaced mine not long ago after about 2 years but it had been leaking for a while.

A consultant has since told me that if I put my old one in the fridge in a bowl of water for a couple of weeks it will come goodbut I haven't tried this.

I asked about the small seal on the blades but she said that shouldn't need replacing at the same time but gave no indication of when.

Mine don't seem to last long.  I don't put them in the dishwasher anymore and am gentle when cleaning, but they only seem to last 6 months or so.  ???

I replaced my lid seal at around 18 months I think.  Must try that tip with the old one Hannah (if I can find it).

Mine lasted about 18 months - but maybe not used as much as Chelsea - she's giving hers a real work out.

ahhh thanks... we got ours in October last year so wasn't sure what I should be expecting.  I don't think I could deal without it for 2 weeks to test the water theory!!! lol

We don't have a dishwasher so it's not that! hehe

We had to replace ours after about 8 months and another friend at about the same time.  I think having a spare one on hand is a good idea.
