LOL. Judy I keep telling myself not to look in desserts or cakes.

Yesterday I made crustless quiche (another of the recommendations DH was given by you all) and baked it on top of the risotto leftovers from the day before.  It got a 2 thumbs up from DH and DD(1), who have asked that it becomes a regular feature on the menu.

Today I chopped up a large batch of dried homegrown rosemary to put into the herb jar (it avoids the 'bits' that DD hates using it this way) and made garlic rice.  I also made Bron's tomato sauce, but haven't done the meatballs to go in it yet.  So we had leftovers for dinner today instead  ;D  Did we let you know that DH made the meatballs, sauce & rice a couple of days after I got back from hospital, by the way??  We all LOVED them.

Good work CarolineW - good to see you taking proper care of DH  :o :o :o   :-*

I did a whole meal in the TMX tonight - rice, vegies and curried sausages. DH loves to have a sausage meal (I'm not that keen) so thought I'd convert a new recipe.  This is the first time I have cooked sausages in the TMX and DH loved it.  Curry was a bit strong for me so will cut down next time but he loved it.  I'm glad he did because I have 2 meals in the freezer now for him.
Have posted the details.

Yesterday I did a modified batch of my potato cream (soup), and a coffee and walnut cake with coffee icing.

Yes Cookie they enjoyed it - fairly plain food today because of the likes and dislikes of the husband guest. He won't eat gravies, sauces, dressings and doesn't like cheese but we didn't tell him there was cheese in the parmesan potatoes and he ate them (I had cooked him a plain jacket potato but he had both).  Wife guest loved the daiquiri - she had never had one before and she watched me make it as she did the ice-cream and she was amazed.  She drooled over the cheesecake & loved the dressing.  She is a great cook and loves having people over so that she can do fancier things for a change from the plain cooking she has to do for her DH and the TMX impressed her a lot.

Haven't seen the latest Thermomix blog competition Jo - must have a look.  Not that I will put anything in, I put all my recipes on here these days.

JD, there's no reason why you couldn't enter, even if all your recipes are on here too.

The competition is looking for a dinner party menu, so this could be perfect.

I did see that Cathy, even printed it but hadn't read the last paragraph about the competition.  Great idea, will have to give it some thought but most main meal ideas I come up with are for normal weekday meals not dinner party quality.  Because I only do lunch guests these days (DH needs to be in bed by 8.30 at the latest) I can always find something to make.  I'd love to see all the recipes submitted for this competition though but unfortunately we will only get to see the contenders in the running for the prize.  That vault of theirs must be hiding some really nice recipes - whose game enough to try and break into it with me  ;) ;) ;)

Often Tenina gets very few submissions, and I think your lunch menu would make a fantastic dinner menu.

And I'll definitely break into that vault with you!  Just tell me the date and time. :-* :-*

;D ;D ;D Thanks Cathy - my partner in crime aye  ;) ;)  Will have to make a special effort and see if I can come up with a whole dinner party meal plan using the TMX for everything.  I have just made the dessert part of it and have left samples with Mum and the neighbour. Am about to taste test some myself.
