Well, that went down well!  I came home with empty trays and dishes.  What didn't get eaten from the table soon got divided up amongst those who like to take leftovers home.  I won 2 prizes in the huge raffle, actually it should have been 3 but I told them to do a re-draw the third time. Vegging out with DH and the resident cat now.

Congratulations on your raffle wins Judy. I'm not surprised that your food disappeared quickly, it looked delicious.

Everything looks delicious as usual ladies.  I bet you enjoyed cooking up a storm Judy (nice to have an excuse occasionally).
My Dh and I have been married 27 years today so I'm cooking Skinnymixers Butter Chicken, Indian Cauli rice and Health by chocolate for dessert.  (cookie, the batter of this cake is to die for - must confess I didn't try too hard to scrape the bowl, probably had a serve of cake raw!).  Usually we celebrate out but building this house is scaring me with the money spiralling away.

Congratulations to you and Evan, Denise. I'm sure you will enjoy a romantic dinner at home.
Your house will be worth it, I remember feeling the same 11 years ago.

You got to choose your own prizes Trudy so the first  time I chose a 2 pack of wine and the next one a wrapped box a bit bigger than a shoe box.  I didn't open it until I returned home much later in the day.  It was a 4 piece Euro Kitchen Set which comprised a slicer, shredder, scissors and a peeler. I was quite happy with my prizes.   It appears as if lucky winning streak has not ended yet.

Well done Judy, you have had lots of nice things happen lately, maybe you should buy a lotto ticket.

Made a big pot of Chinese Flair to top up Mum's freezer and as usual when I use a saucepan on the stove top these days, it stuck slightly to the pan (didn't burn though).  I added some water, put the heat back on to loosen it then decided it might make a good base for a vegetable soup.  Found all sorts of things to add to it, firstly the TMX steaming water from the potatoes, from the freezer 1/2 cup Lucyluus 4 bean passata, 1/2 cup sauteed onion in olive oil spray which was an experiment I did for a new forum member a while back, 2 T of my homemade beef stock powder, the remainder of some pearl barley, coriander, umami cube,  spinach cubes and then some fresh carrot and celery.  I kept tasting it along the way then fossicked around in the freezer to see what else I could find, stopping once I'd added all the above ingredients and I achieved a nice tasting one-off soup  ;D
