Pumpkin Jam

Tony's  Pumpkin Jam


1kg of pumpkin chopped
1/3 cup of lemon juice
1 cup of water
1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg
1 teaspoon of Cinnamon

600 g of white sugar
 
place chopped pumpkin in bowl
add
 lemon juice
 water
 nutmeg
 Cinnamon

set time 30 min varoma speed 2


add sugar

set time for 20 mins varoma speed 3
i don't need a recipe i'm italian

This looks great, Uni.  I LOVE pumpkin - what sort did you use, or doesn't it matter?  I assume you start with raw pumpkin or is it pre-cooked?

i dont think it would matter what sort of  pumpkin you use, i used the normal round one ,  yep its  raw
i don't need a recipe i'm italian

This is really a dumb question, but does it taste like pumpkin?
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.

I made this today with some pumpkin I was given at the weekend.

I made it exactly as the recipe said.  The texture is a little grainier than fruit jam but it's lovely and thick and doesn't taste at all like pumpkin.  I used ordinary Queensland Blue pumpkin.
