Your Sunday Night....
« on: October 14, 2012, 12:25:33 pm »
As I sit here trying hard to catch up on overlooked paper work, the family snooze, I have the scanner on and am thinking it ***MUST*** be a full moon.

Car chases
Drug fueled street fights
Bashings
Dispute over drugs......... (why would you call 000?)
and more?

What are you doing?
A day without laughter is a day wasted

Why do you have more than one Foxtel box Yvette?  I've been having a few problems with our Foxtel of late, wonder how long these boxes are supposed to last and if they replace them when they either give too many problems or just die like yours?  I had reason to ring the a little while back as we were unable to get a signal, spoke to a robot first who said they would fix the problem from their end (how did they know what my problem was?), that didn't work so I rang again and eventually got to speak to a real person who told me it wasn't their problem but to ring a TV technician (the TV was working so I questioned this), rang the TV technician who said it was Foxtel's problem (as I had thought myself), rang Foxtel back and got the b....y robot again, rang 5 minutes later and eventually again put through to a real person who told me to go around behind the TV set and turn everything off for 30 seconds.  Miraculously that worked so I wanted to know why the previous real person hadn't suggest I do that.  I love the way these people take your money but when you need help it is such a long winded affair - 5 phone calls!

I think Yvette means that she's had to replace her Foxtel box twice in a month, not that she has two.

Last night I was having a BBQ and drinks at the club house after playing lawn bowls. Went to bed very early - 9.30!
A great cook is one who can rustle up a fabulous family meal with some freezer burnt chops, wilted carrots, sprouting potatoes and cabbage that's gone brown on the cut edges.

Well MJ that is correct but we actually have 4 foxtel boxes in our house as we don't get tv reception without foxtel, we must be in a hole where we are.

I agree Judy the foxtel phone system is a pain. First you ring and they reset everything from their end. If that doesn't work in 5 minutes you ring back and tell them it is a technical difficulty and they run you through a few things to do to try and fix it. If cannot be fixed then they sent a technician out but sometimes no technician is available for a week or longer. So was not impressed when I rang yesterday and someone is coming tomorrow.

I have listed my Mums TM21 for sale, with full steam ahead, and traveling with thermomix cook books, that I have never used.

quite a few TM31 for sale.

My price is still $90 cheaper than one from ebay (france)
