Huge day again . Had to bake apple cinnamon muffins first up , set up for smoko and then run earns for DH MIL , bonus did a few jobs for me . What a morning went to go home had to return for MIL . Home 45 mins to make sure all fires going and washing . DH decided roast lamb for shearers boy they are lucky . Spent all afternoon trying to do desk work. One shearer down with a toothache . Thankfully all over today . DS has learnt a lot from the shearers ... don’t want to know . I need to seriously organise myself to throw something into a suitcase, find one for DS and fix the chooks up . Still unwell feel like I’ve had three colds in a row . No sweet food left from shearing very pleased .

DD and I went out for coffee.
The man that DH is building the racer with let us know that he has Covid. He and his wife went out with friends who had it.  He isn’t happy. Hopefully we don’t get it.

Hope you don't get COVID, Cookie.  Most of our staff (including DH) have it so I am thinking I am next on the list ...hope I will be lucky enough to miss it, but I don't think I am that lucky.  For the first time ever, we had to close our doors to customers due to shortage of healthy staff.

I guess we are all resigned to the fact that it may come to us all eventually Marina. I’m sure you and DH can find plenty to keep you occupied during your lockdown and hopefully DH isn’t too badly affected by it.

That’s not good Marina. We are pretty resigned to the fact that we may get it.  What will be, will be.
DD went out to dinner last night with friends. This morning one of the group texted her to say they have tested positive.

Yes, I think it is inevitable that, despite our best efforts to avoid it, we will all get COVID at some stage and the particular strains around at the moment are very contagious.

That's not good news Cookie & Marina, fingers crossed that you both avoid getting Covid.  It seems that some people miss out even tho they are in contact with those that have it.  We have been lucky so far and seem to have avoided it.

Take care Marina and Cookie , still want to avoid Covid for the long term side effects.
Finally we all are away in sunny Noosa for a short break . It’s not that warm but better than home . Nice to have us together .
Mind you for us to get to the airport worked out but DD decided to get an Uber , many factors like being their two hours before flight , travelling on many public transport . Long and short it was an interesting stressful event . The quits from Uber where pre testing same time of day $ 129 - at the time to order $ 260 that was terrible !! Thankfully we had worked out to be there two hours ahead . But in the end another service called Didi came in under 100 . They must of speeded though as it was peak hour . Eventful as usual .

K Atie by now you would almost take these problems in your stride wouldn’t you?  Enjoy your break, sounds good to me even if it isn’t as warm as you’d like.

A belated birthday lunch out today for DS (no1) and DIL.  DS has been away working in Qld for the last 8 weeks.
