Hi All Hope you are enjoying the long weekend. I've done a bit of cooking herb and garlic pull apart, loaf of bread, sweet chilli sauce, banana bread, pikelets and rotisserie duck in the oven. But aside from all the cooking I've also sanded and wood cleaned the front and back porches, oiled the front and media room door and painted the front rendered fence posts ready for the fence. With kid help of course!

CC, the SD got a too fast move on in the warm house and I had to stay up late to bake it. SD really does have a mind of its own

It's always either in the kitchen or doing outside work here INAID, never both!!  Well done you.

Lovely loaves Chookie,  a much calmer task than dealing with a troublesome computer.

Chookie I have to agree that bread making is very therapeutic, possibly why I love it so much.
INAID you have been busy.

CC, this was supposed to be an overnight SD loaf.  Hope the car did the trick for you.

Everyone has their tricks. My microwave sits  over the oven so when I need my bread to rise quickly I pre heat  the oven, place my  dough in the microwave  with shower cap on ( thanks chookie)  leave the door open and  it rises nicely.

The gardeners haven't come today , too wet under foot.  So I have been planting.  40 cloves of garlic, 12 Kale plants, 12 bush peas, 12 board bean seedlings. Salad greens, don't know what they are but came from Farmers Market .  I let the chooks out but after a while , had to lock them up as they thought they would scratch out the seedlings. They like to help in the garden.  Picked Asian greens to stir fry for dinner.
Made 2 lots of soup. Pea and Ham in SC and chicken veggie in TMX.  I added some frozen Egg Noodles, Helenes recipe. Thickened slightly with Unis S.O .S mix. I love this Forum, so much useful stuff. Thanks girls.

It only rose a bit Chookie.I then put it in the airing cupboard overnight and its still sluggish. So I have resorted to Cookie's method of in the oven with a bowl of hot water beneath it to get it going. :-))

It's where our hot water tank is housed Michele. Its part of our central heating system and the hot water for the house is stored in the tank there.
It can be a warm place but wasn't enough to get the SD loaf rising.
