Sounds like a big effort Judy. I do not enjoy gardening.

Yesterday I went for a swim in the swan river with Shelly Taylor-Smiths Open water group. Then I took my kayak out for a paddle for the first time in many months. Finally in the afternoon I went for a bike ride with a young mentally disabled young man who enjoys cycling but has lost his mojo and hasn't been riding for a year.

Today I went to DW's school to fix a couple of adult tricycles that the kids ride. The gardener had put them together without much success. The pedals kept falling off and the brakes didn't work, they also rattled a lot from loose parts.

You may not enjoy gardening Den but you do a lot of things I wouldn't be able to do and I bet you don't ache all over after any of them  ;D

Good to keep busy DD. good on you.
I had lots of odd jobs today. Grocery shopping, I managed to talk DH out of joining me. I get it done much quicker on my own.
I renewed my Drivers Licence, and while in that area went to good Guys to buy new hair clippers for DH. (I cut his hair).
I had a 40 per cent discount coupon for Spotlight, so bought GD a Mermaid Costume for either Birthday or Xmas, haven't decided yet.

Oh but I do ache all over Judy. My legs and back ache from paddling at  the moment and my legs almost always ache from training. Its all part of getting older  ;)

DD, you're obviously back in the city, then!

I haven't been on here for a while, just so busy. I made jelly cakes today and looked after grandson no 1 who's nearly 18 months old and into everything. I think he's going to be a cook as he has to be right there when I'm doing anything in the kitchen. I made real jelly for the jelly cakes, using my own recipe. I'm still working on it, so will post on my blog when I have it absolutely perfect. I put cream in them and froze them as one of the ladies in our town does this and they defrost perfectly.

A great cook is one who can rustle up a fabulous family meal with some freezer burnt chops, wilted carrots, sprouting potatoes and cabbage that's gone brown on the cut edges.

Had a nice lunch and catchup with Katie, she picked me up at the nursing home and said hello to Geoff and Mum then dropped me home afterwards. 1/2 an hour later the crash repair place rang to say my car was ready.  We'd had lunch not far from their premises!

Some of you will know that I love pens as a gift, they gave me 2 when I collected the car and when I showed my delight, they gave me 2 more!

Got lots of odd jobs done today, including giving DH a haircut.
Settled on couch now to watch the Football. Hoping Freo Dockers win but not feeling confident. I'm more certain for an Eagles win tomorrow!

We watched the Freo match last night. We were disappointed. Tonight is the BIG MATCH for us. Go West Coast.
DD and I went to the Royal Show today. I'm exhausted.

I just had the best day at Lake Macquarie Live Smart Fest. There was a smallish version of the farmers markets and Emma Dean (2013 winner of master chef) did 3 demos. She is delightful and the things she cooked were delicious.
So much so I made her strawberry crepes for dessert tonight.

I had my sewing day today and got a couple of hems taken up (well pinned anyway) while I had someone to help and did a bit of cutting out before it was time to go home again. Then had a nanna nap.
