Oh how sad for you both. I must say I am always hesitant to use my 5 for recipes that require long times at varoma temp. I tend to use my 31 as I know it can handle the heat LOL. Fingers crossed you both get your machines back in a timely manner.
I have been the same but I think I will use the Tm5 as much as possible now while it's still in warranty!

Trying to put a bit of organisation into my house (especially the sewing room) as I keep losing things. Had to cut out some trousers yesterday with cheep scissors and it just doesn't work.

My DH used to steal my dressmaking scissors troupie. He wondered why I complained so loudly and at length. I only do embroidery now and those scissors are very hidden.

Men don't understand how precious our sewing scissors are but borrow their shaver and the tables are soon turned  ;)

DH knows what will happen to him if he dares to touch my scissors. :D

We finished cleaning the van this afternoon so now it can go back in the shed.

My DH will use my tweezers for all sorts of things, much to my annoyance. I've tried to explain how it ruins the tips.  recently bought a new pair and have them hidden.

I was lucky enough to get a ticket to Jo Whitton's seminar in London yesterday evening.
Had a lovely chat and a big hug from Jo.She spoke eloquently about her life and her love of cooking with the aid of the Thermomix. She has three more engagements then flies back to you all on Saturday.

I was wondering when this was on CC. It seems so long ago that Jo was simply a forum member. She has gone a long way and I'm sure that she helps lots and lots of people.

She's a lovely lady CC, glad you made the effort to go and meet her.

Well done to your DH cookie! Guess it's fish for tea tonight.

Jo is an inspiration and a very hard worker. Pity, she sold her book to Vorwerk. I would have loved to see her hard work better rewarded .

She lives near Obbie

She couldn't get a publisher to print it Gert, they said it was 'too Quirky' so HO stepped in.  Maybe if they hadn't, the book would still be unprinted.

It's a lovely book - sadly, I was unable to get to Jo's seminars in Adelaide recently, but luckily I was able to get a friend to buy the book for me. In fact, I used it to make her creamy chicken and brown rice soup for dinner.
