« on: May 20, 2012, 10:28:58 pm »
Please tell your friendly  ;D wait person 2 things

1. How you would like your eggs, scrambled, poached, fried, spoon some oil over eggs while frying  >:(, sunny side up, sunny side down, hard boiled medium boiled, soft boiled  :-))

2. Bread, white, whole meal, sourdough, Turkish, multigrain, thick or thinly sliced
I was forever going back to the table and asking. I wish could read minds but i cannot, so please tell us what the bloody hell you want.  ;D

I spent most of the weekend working, breakfast and lunch, thank god all of the dinner staff showed up
I don’t think i would have made it working from 7am to 1am on Saturday

OMG the breakfast shift was so bloody hard it’s so much different to the dinner shift

basic idea from the 4 ingredient cookbook

Base
200 gram of any sweet biscuit crumbs
1 Tbs of any citrus rind *
Handful of coconut *
Handful of almond meal *
5 Tbl of melted butter, melt in TM not sure what temp or how long, no need to wash jug

Filling
250g cream cheese
395g condensed milk
100 grams of lemon curd*
60grams marmalade or any jam would work *
1 Tbs of any citrus rind *
2.5 tsp of gelatin + 3 tbs of boiling water
Make biscuit base using the 1st 5 ingredients, mix well, and press into a 20 cm spring form pan. Chill for 45 mins in the freezer or longer in the fridge

Place in bowl

Cream cheese
Condensed milk
Citrus rind
Marmalade/ or any jam would work /Lemon curd or lemon butter
Mix until smooth on speed 6 .
Mix gelatin and boiling water  stir until dissolved add to cheese mixture , mix on speed 6 for 30 sec
Pour over base
Chill for 2 hours original recipe says 1 hour but i think it needs 2 or more

* optional

it could have done with an extra tbls of butter

Obbie - Yep its yum, just made this, added the extra butter to base, and now its setting in the fridge. Mum enjoyed it too.

Dede - my DH loves you for this recipe. The cheese cake was delicious. Will definitely make again.

JuliaC83 -  Very nice and not too strong. I used a larger pan to keep the overall cheesecake quite thin and it worked beautifully!  I also kept mine super simple - base was Marie biscuits/coconut/butter and filling was philli cheese/condensed milk/lemon juice/gelatine mixture.

Chit Chat / bread dough 1 rise only
« on: January 22, 2012, 11:40:43 pm »
I bought a couple of packets of the lighthouse bread and pizza flour so i could entry into the draw to win a TM  :-)) (fingers crossed)
I was reading the method on the back on the packet with only one rise

Add dough to tin and leave to rise for 1-1½ hours. Today it only took 50 mis to rise

Very pleased with the taste and look

will try with my normal  flour that i use tomorrow just  compare any difference  between the 2
