Place the garlic in the TMX and chop for 5 seconds on speed 7, then add the soy sauce and lemon juice & now it's a Thermomix recipe.

Soft speed is the lowest setting on TM 31 - represented by a stirring spoon:

With TM 21 it equates to Speed 1.

No, is the short answer.

I was told that it is due to the 110 Volt issue - my understanding is that the manufacturers have not looked at producing a machine for the US market.  But it exists in Canada - so there must be more to the story.
