Yesterday I made 4 small meat pies for the freezer. Today I made Chookie's Chilli Jam. The jam looked quite runny after cooking for 40 mins so I added another 20 mins cooking time. It is still quite thin but tastes very nice.

KAtie, it sounds like your DD party was a success.
I had a visit to the dentist this afternoon. All good , just needed a clean.
Over the past few days I have been cleaning some of the windows and washing curtains. Also started going through some of the cupboards and making piles of items to go to the op shop.

DS is home from Queensland for a few days so he called in for morning tea. Grocery shopping this afternoon.

DD took me for a shopping day out today. I bought a couple of small items for Christmas presents and a new Baccarat stoneware frypan and a couple of small kitchen gadgets. We then had lunch with 2 GD at our favourite Italian restaurant.

Mab, which recipe did you use for the Chilli Sauce.? I have 2 , Quite different. Both nice.
The new loaf with grain and oats is better as it has aged. The new American bread book, for bread machines , has oats in a lot of recipes.
Chookie I used the Thermoconvert recipe from the forum. Are your other recipes on the forum?

Thanks ladies, it was a shock to get the phone call. DB ended up have a quadruple bypass and all went well. I spoke with him this morning and he was out of bed and sitting in a chair. He said he feels well but a little tired.
