I love bagpipes too.
I have a fond memory Landor Races. (well...what I can remember of the Landor Races, I did sample a few beers that weekend :o ) We camped with people I went to school with and one of the guys played the bagpipes. He marched up and down the river bed late one night playing them. It was unreal, the place went silent and we all just listened to him for a long time. The sound wafting up from the river was amazing and when he finally stopped everyone was yelling for more.
That would be 25 odd years ago. The last time I heard him play was at his Dad's funeral a couple of years ago and it brought back so many good memories.

Nikkit it is necessary to have a beer or two at the Landor races.

When we lived in Broome one of the teachers played the bagpipes but only after he had a couple of beers. I have happy memories of marching up and down behind him at 2am or so. We did it many times. The locals never seemed bothered by it, but it was 36 years ago.

Do leave some meat out for him Michele and does he wake you in the morning?

On the rare occasion that Harry Hound left any food in his bowl he would steal that. The kooka's are extremely noisy of a morning. A beautiful noise. Love driving to work and seeing them sitting on the letter boxes along the street.  ;D

I like the female ones.
we had a male kookaburra that was waking us up in the mornings, but attacking his reflection on our glass windows.

Then he started flying into the house, and attacking my mirror.
Very dangerous at the time.
