We are having an antipasto platter I ordered from our Italian deli. They aren’t cheap but are delicious.

We are having crumbed lamb cutlets with left over veg made into patties, beans & asparagus.

I had frozen stir fried veggies and vermicelli pasta with RTE’s Charlie sauce https://www.recipetineats.com/real-chinese-purpose-stir-fry-sauce/
Loved the pasta and sauce but I’ve really gone off veggies these days. I cooked them a lot longer to try and soften them once I added the sauce but they were still too hard and difficult for me to eat. Normally I would steam fresh veggies for a stir fry but I’ve had this packet in the freezer for quite a while so needed to do something with it. The rest of the packet will probably become a chicken soup.

That looks tasty Judy.  It's a shame you are having trouble with veges at the moment.  Soups sound like a good way to get them into your meal rotation - how about mashed cauliflower ... actually, mashed anything?  One of my all time favourites is potatoes, swedes and carrots mashed together - I love this combination.

It doesn’t seem to get any better Marina, I get sick of most things I have been able to eat over the past almost 3 years.I loved salad veggies for quite a while but haven’t been interested in them for many weeks now. Even the humble scrambled or poached egg is nothing to look forward to. I’ve spoken to my doctor about what I eat (or don’t eat) and as I’m not losing weight he was quite happy for me to continue with my mainly sustagen based diet. It’s not Ike I’m hungry, my breakfast smoothie can keep me satisfied for as long as 9 hours so I don’t eat lunch and have to make myself have something for tea just because I feel as though I have to eat something, regardless of whether I’m hungry or not. If I do go out on the odd occasion for lunch I just pick out what I can eat and it’s enough for the rest of the day. Rarely find anything totally suitable so my social life has suffered greatly as it’s generally a waste of time and just too hard. I ask them to cook the veggies softer or cook the pasta longer but they just can’t seem to do this for me.

Judy your meal looks very tasty.  I know how you feel about meals. I find it hard to get interested in a dinner meal but I still have to cook for the men.
Tonight the men are having salmon with chips and mixed steamed greens.  I will have some of the tomato soup I made yesterday.

It sure is Margaret, I’m lucky that I only have myself to look after but once a month I get to cook homecoming visit meals for my Melbourne kids so I do look forward to planning and shopping for that. Trouble is I can’t tell if it’s tasty or not, doing mainly RTE recipes for them now as they seem to hit the spot, especially for the SIL.

Judy that truly must be awful. We had shepherds pie for dinner with roasted Brussel sprouts.

Take 2 on a stir-fry meal. I bought some fresh veggies and had another go at a meal like I had last night, this time I was able to cook the veggies until were soft and therefore edible. Thinly sliced cabbage, onion and red pepper, grated carrot & zucchini and small steamed pieces of cauli, some noodles and Charlie sauce - much better.

Well done Judy. I’m glad you were able to eat it.
We had a curry with rice.

Seems microwaves don’t like me this would possibly be no 9-10 . Have no idea was warming bowls as I have done for years for a few seconds and sounded like a noisy fan was going . Smoke coming out from inside . My DH just laughs and said get another one . I should be banned from them . Really only use to quick heat food up and zap vegetables if not using the TMX .

Gosh Katie that is rather frightening.   My microwave must be 30 years old at least and is still going well.  I had it checked and it is still fine to use.

Last night we had lamb shank casserole, tonight will be spaghetti bolognaise with salad and home made garlic bread.
