Chookie, why do you want the blinds to go down during the day and up at night?

Chookie, what a couple of days you have had.  So glad things are coming together.

I got scammed once with my credit card, lost a bit but learned A LOT!!!  I am very wary now.  Mostly I use cash, for me it is the best way to keep to budget.  The one thing I am always wary of is my mobile.  I actually have a love - hate relationship with it  They are so intrusive but there are, literally, hundreds of things you cannot do if you don't give a mobile number out, but I can learn to live without most of those things.  I often have long, involved discussions with companies as to why I want to keep in touch with them but do not wish to give them my mobile number ... sometimes they work things out or else I simply don't bother further with them.

Such nice tradies Chookie. You will have them fighting to come to your place for the delicious food.

This morning friends took us out for coffee to Kings Park. It was lovely. Then this afternoon we went and picked up my new piece of jewellery.

Oh, Cookie how nice. Wear it often.
Yesterday I attended my first exercise class. I now know why Judy is an exercise junkie. Although I was absolutely hopeless and 20 years older than most of the class, I had a great time. I will try to attend twice a week.
Today the tradies are coming to finish the blinds. I’m cooking them lunch. I gave them a demo of the TMX as they were fascinated.
Judy, the blinds come down in the morning to prevent the sun in the morning heating up the upstairs room. In the Summer it is very hot as the window is massive. Not so necessary in the other seasons but the sun does fade the carpet and furniture.

Our hot water tank has started leaking - the cost for the replacement is mind boggling!!!

Thanks for the explanation Chookie. Well done on joining a class, exercise is a must for we elderly ladies. Your post brought a smile to my face.

Cookie, I bet your new ring will bring a smile to your face every time you wear it.  Yours and my team played today, OK we won but WC made it hard for us at times.

K Atie, well done to your DS on his win, nice prizes.

Marina, I’ve lived in 3 houses and have had to replace the HWS in each one, yes not a cheap item to replace.

What a nuisance Marina. You can’t do without them either.

Chookie wonderful that you enjoyed your exercise class

Judy, the new ring lives on my finger. I took it off to do some gardening and wash the dishes. After I’ve had it for a while it will probably stay on then too. It’s not sticking up or anything so will be ok.

Today, Gym and getting ready to go to Melbourne on Thursday.

Well that was a big day on the road yesterday. Great to catch up with family. Mum to be glowing. DD came too . We were a tad tiered and hungry so stopped to eat a meal on the way home . DH stopped a few times , even had a drumstick ice cream.. had not had one in a long time . Boys out burning stumble this arvo . I have had a migraine so done hardly a thing . Thankful DS put a load of washing out and managed to put the towels on clothes line but the whole district will be burning off this arvo so I best be ready to whip it inside soon .

A GD birthday yesterday.  We spent the afternoon with the family and had afternoon tea around a campfire in the bush.  The weather was perfect and we had a lovely afternoon.

That does sound nice Margaret, it’s been a long time since I sat around a campfire but they were always fun.
