Recipe Requests / Dehydrating tomatoes« on: December 10, 2024, 09:39:51 pm »
I heard on the news this morning that there is a glut of truss tomatoes so thought I would take advantage of that. Has anyone dehydrated tomatoes in their air fryers? Are there any specific dos and don'ts or any good recipes, suggestions, etc.? There are quite a lot of recipes on Google, but I thought I would ask or get advice on here first.

Think it’s linked to Spotify. It might be too late now that they seem to have your details, Chookie, but would there be any benefit in using gift cards or similar for your Spotify purchases? 4

Looks delicious, Margaret, hope you were able to enjoy a wee bit of it.
Staff Xmas dinner at an Indian last night - lots of lovely food and good fun - not eating today, too full. 5

Apart the one in Prahran here in Melbourne, I don't know where else the shop The Essential Ingredient is located. But it is a terrific shop for kitchen stuff - I heard just last night that they are closing down. So sad. They had terrific ingredients, cookware, books, etc.

What a night K Atie. Kangaroos just appear out of nowhere don't they. I can never understand how they have not developed a natural instinct to avoid moving vehicles - just about every other animal has adapted, but the kangaroos simply haven't.
We have a dangerous new shop just opened around the corner of our shop - Gewurshaus (I hope I have spelled that correctly). They make all sorts of spice / herb / tea blends of the highest quality. I have been in there just about every day this week - Xmas gifts have been taken care of now - or else the ingredients for home made gifts have all been purchased. 8

I made "Something" for dinner - I have no idea what it was, just clearing scraps of veges and bits and pieces from the larder - we are both still alive and kicking so it wasn't too bad!

How on earth do you keep up with everything K Atie? Hope your bloods and xray go OK
Chookie, glad you are enjoying Daylesford, the food sounds gorgeous. I don't go there often as it is always heaving with visitors on the weekends (and that's the only time I am in the vicinity!). 11

What sacrilege Cookie ... leaving chocolate out of anything!! Actually, that mix you made sounds really nice, I must remember it.

Got a bcc cancer cut out of my tummy yesterday ... in pain today! Thank goodness for the super strong pain killers I have left over from my foot operation back in May!
This the first time I have been able to get on the forum for a couple of days. Hope I didn't miss anything. Must try to catch up later today. 13

Scammers are horrible. Regardless of the outcome, they can cause so many problems. Even if you catch on in time, you often have to get a new credit card ... then you find our how many direct debits / subscriptions you have linked to your credit card and have to contact all the suppliers to update your details. I recently went through this and several of the companies now make it extremely difficult, if not nigh on impossible, to change your card details because it is all automated.
I too much prefer cash - if my wallet is empty then I know I have probably over-spent and have to wait until my next visit to the bank. It is a good way to ensure you don't go over your budget. 15

The podiatrist is having trouble diagnosing it because I cannot have an MRI. He initially suspected it was a stress injury, then he wasn't so sure about that and we were discussing the possibility it may be bursitis (I am still not totally sure exactly what that is), but I am off for another Xray tomorrow as he has gone back to suspecting the possibility of a stress injury after starting to walk around again after I got out of my moonboot. Over c. 100 meters it becomes terribly painful when I walk and restricts my mobility so much; it is very frustrating.
