I sympathise with your friend, Cookie.  We ended up going to a company who specialise in all things employment related and they were a big help.  Three of our other employees have been with us over 13 years each, the next one must be around 6 years and the guy that left 4 years, so, apart from him, we are lucky to have a good, stable group of people.

I met a friend at a pot/garden centre this morning as she wanted to buy me something in lieu of sending flowers after Geoff passed away. She bought me the one on the right.  I found a nice wrought iron plant stand there so shouted myself that as well then we went to lunch and had a darn good chat.

Marina, that is awful about that staff member as I have seen first hand how well you look after your staff.  It is a very stressful situation.

Those pot plants look great, Judy.

Thanks for your support re. staff, Chookie.  In fact, we do feel quite sorry for him but, as the saying goes ... you make your bed, you sleep in it.

Thanks ladies, I’m very pleased with them. Today I spent hours finding, printing then filling out forms before meeting a friend for lunch. Visited Mum, fixed a banking problem then walked the Port looking for a JP.  It’s all mentally exhausting except for dining out and catching up with friends which keeps me sane.

Feel for you Judy.   Filling out forms is such a pain.  We have been doing a lot lately.

We are fortunate, our local library has a JP come in on the first Monday of the month. He is happy to sign things for you.

We had a breakfast run with the Model A today. We met at a lovely, shady spot by the river. It was lovely.
One of the we or so Model A’s on our run today. It’s really nice. Ours is the black Fordor in the background.

Cookie, thanks for the lovely photo of those beautiful cars.  That front one looks like it is out of The Great Gatsby.
Yesterday we sat under the beautiful big Oak trees and watched and listened to the Bagpipes.  We chatted with our friends and Ballarat Grammar won First in their section.

That truly sounds lovely Chookie. There is nothing like sitting and chatting to friends, the picnic and the bagpipes would be a lovely plus. Congratulations to Ballarat Grammar.

We are going to see some dear friends for a chat this morning. We have had a crap week. Heard one close friend has a brain tumour (the second friend in about 6 months) and she has been told she is here for a good time, not a long time and then we heard last Monday that one of my cousins, who was bridesmaid at our wedding, had died from a bleed on the brain. It all quite upset my equilibrium for a while. Hence the visit to close friends. Take care everyone and hugs to you all.

Cookie, so sad to hear of your family and friends.  It's only when it is often too late to change or do anything about it that you realise you could maybe have visited / rung / written to them more often, but I am sure they all know how much you cared for them ... and care for them still.  I am sure you can share your strength for them and their families when they need it.
