Main Dishes / Re: Re: Chicken and Vegie Hotpot
« on: September 23, 2013, 08:43:13 am »
Hi all! I havent been on here for a long time! I was so glad when I logged in and found this recipe again! I had clean forgotten how I had made it. Am trying it with whatever veg I have in the fridge. Tonight its peas corn potato pumpkin and a little sweet potato and instead of the white wine I am trying verjuice as suggested. Its smelling very nice in my kitchen right now. Cant wait for dinner!

oh my i have missed out on some drama!! i have been away from the forum of late and can't believe what i missed. how incredibly ridiculous.. don't tm realise that people who hear about teninas recipes and haven't purchased one as yet, most likely will and they will have to buy them from tm hq!!
tenina you will continue to have my support, i am planning on getting your new cookbook and love dinner spinner.  i am glad that i am no longer a consultant i could not and would not take nicely to this kind of bullying and unfair treatment of such a talented and lovely lady.

oohhh we will have to have a go at this.  i order my hot chilli sauce from nz regularly and i have it on almost everything that i can put it on. but ordering from overseas is a little annoying so i will go check out the asian grocers and give this a go. thanks for sharing merlin

Chit Chat / Re: Pizza pockets?
« on: March 17, 2012, 09:54:39 am »
hi dede
i make pizza pockets just from the normal pizza dough recipe, fill it with whatever yummy fillings we feel like, even leftovers from last nights dinner and they are delish!
the kids love them with just ham cheese and sauce but we tried them filled with chicken in yoghurt from the indian cookbook and they were soooo yummy!

Main Dishes / Re: Cacciatore Chicken Risotto - marmee

i use a chicken stock instead of the tm stock paste, i find that makes it abit bland for me and also adding the tom paste and wine gives it abit more flavour too. still one of our faves after 3 years!

Recipe Book Recipe Reviews / Re: Lemon Chicken Pancakes recipe review
« on: February 27, 2012, 08:13:58 am »
We had this tonight, i had to agree with jd it needs a sauce to bind it all together. the flavour was ok, i am not really a fan of the texture of shredded chicken, if i made it again i would leave the chicken in pieces. as for the pancakes/crepes they were really nice and we served them warm with a salad.

i am following along with interest, and as others have said, am unlikely to purchase any dan lepard books in the future.
i think its funny that people think they own concepts like brownie recipes or bread recipes.... who did they get there recipe ideas from to start with? i am sure dan lepard didnt create them from  scratch...
good on you amanda for standing up for yourself!

will give it another go on the weekend, and try the warm water as dyljon suggested. it was that hard to roll out i had to get dh to roll it lol. maybe i mismeasured the flour?
that sounds right twitterpated but i havent actually done it before, maybe i will try it as well on the weekend!

ok i only let it have one rise  then starting trying to roll it out. so next time i guess i will rest it a second time and see. thanks guys!
