Last night I cooked the Zuni Roast Chicken and Bread dish.  As RAL said, interesting.  I would make it again, ( not in a hurry), and would cook the chicken and bread separately .

I made a big pot of savoury mince today, topped tonight’s meal with mash potato and froze the rest.

You will have a supply for later if you don’t feel like cooking Judy.

We had roast pork and baked veggies with yoghurt to follow.

Yes that’s the idea cookie, I have to keep lots of meals on hand for later plus I like variety even if it is all soft food.

DD made dinner last night sticky sesame chicken and rice with a few snow peas . Very nice she made the rice in TMX . While I waited for dinner I watch Netflix with my earphones in and a drink by the crackling fire .
Bonus DS after dinner pulled out of the freezer a packet of home Lamb mince “ I’m cooking dinner tomorrow night “ !!

We had rain and snow on and off all day so I cooked.  GC as they would like KFC so I made that with hot chips and we delivered.  They are only 5 minutes away.  I didn’t make the Quiche but made chicken Parma  for us.
Tonight we may have the Quiche.

Did you get any nice photos of the snow on your property Chookie?
I bet the GC were very pleased to have their meal delivery, such a lovely thing to do for them.
It sounds like the kids are going to take over your cooking chores K Atie, sit back and enjoy the break.

KAtie that is wonderful. Enjoy.
We are having Tuscan soup from Cookidoo, that I made yesterday as I knew we would be late tonight.

K ATIE, how lovely to have the kids cooking.  It is so important for them to have cooking skills. GD off to Uni next year so I might make her a cooking book containing all the recipes I know she likes.
Judy, snow didn’t settle long enough to take photos.

Wow Chookie lucky GD knowing she will be at uni next year , we can only hope that happens for DD . Great idea about the cook book .
Hopefully they will cook each week but we will see. Might try dessert as an alternative.

K ATIE, GD will certainly go to Uni next year, it will be a case of which one.  Your DD has also many things in her favour,  she is a girl, country kid and doing some  science subjects. All to her advantage. Tell your DD to think positive about her choices.
Dinner tonight, salmon and brown rice with green olives and preserved lemon.

Last night was roast lamb with all the trimmings.  Tonight will be home made pasties from the freezer with potato mash & beans.  Lemon pudding for dessert.

Finished off the samosa pie last night so we will finish off the pumpkin and chickpeas tonight and took some pumpkin soup out of the freezer as well - although with the current temperatures, I suspect that will be devoured at lunchtime, not dinner!
