Nice baking Chookie.   No cooking here, have had visitors all day.
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

Impressive baking Chookie. I made a Sour Cream Maple cake yesterday. I thought I had plenty of maple syrup but didn’t. I used what I had and to make it sweeter I iced it with a molasses icing. DH and DD tell me it’s just right and not too sweet. I found the recipe in a magazine called Bake from Scratch.

Not much cooking today.   Big cook up tomorrow for Fathers Day.  I am making Ral a Black Forest Cake. I’m not a good cake maker like Cookie, so it will be a bit of a challenge.

I could t wait to try my Purple flour. When I opened it I truly thought it would be purple, but it isn’t. When I read the ingredients carefully it has purple grains of wheat through it, as well as sunflower seeds and uses Wholemeal flour. I used the thermomix to mix and knead it and it is rising at the moment.
The flour.

The dough ready to rise.

I really like the taste Chookie. It is quite different.

Excuse my lousy cutting. It is a very soft loaf and crunchy because of the purple wheat grains and sunflower seeds.
