Love pink salt uni. I buy Himalayan Pink salt and a French black salt which is quite wet when I can find it.

I have seen black salt, never bought it.  What do you use it for?

I haven't seen the French black salt but have seen the Asian version. It is pungent and kind of smells like rotten eggs.

Pool I don't  know about that one MF but the one I buy is very salty and smells slightly of seaweed. I use it just for a change when cooking with salt. I use the pink for everything and I can buy it by the rock salt for about $20 a kilo, sometimes I buy a Sicilian course sea salt.

The Asian one comes from around India and Pakistan and they use it in their chutneys. It's used in the north of Bali too but only in certain dishes. Mainly egg dishes. I didn't like it at all.  Smells of sulphur. I use mainly Maldon. Does the pink have a different flavour?

Does it have a different taste? I know it also comes from Pakistan but I haven't tried it.

I like the Murray River pink salt. I don't use salt much though.
