I have now got the big thumbs up on buying my family pie maker from DH (who thought I didn't really need it but it was my domain (the kitchen) so I could get it if I wanted...) - Now he is asking me to make him that size pies - and he has them at work cut in half (so half/meal). I did my normal bacon and egg quiche in it on Sunday night, and he was impressed "that machine takes 1/2 the time to cook, and alot less energy - it is a good thing!"  :D :D Yay!! Girls love them too, great for Friday night or lazy meals!!  :)

McMich posted this recipe in another section, I thought it would be a handy one for this thread

Mini dampers in the pie maker.
I used: 290g S/R flour
220g milk
70g tasty cheese grated
About 1/2 cup of parsley, rosemary and thyme.
Put it all in the TM bowl, kneaded for 1 minute.
Divided it into 8, rolled into balls and pressed into pie maker cooked for 8 minutes.
Too Easy

Fantastic. I might see if I can squish the pie maker in the van for Monkey Mia. These would be lovely for morning tea.

;D Hally, I do egg and bacon pie, quiche Lorraine, zucchini slice/quiche, ideas are endless.

Chicken or meat pies using leftover casseroles or curries, spinach and riccotta is good.

Obbie, what do you do with the zucchini slice? Do you use pastry? It sounds like a great idea.

Alexis, no never use pastry for it.
I just spray oil into pie maker, and add mixture.

Also, I do the same mix, for a large one in my Fritatta dish/ pizza oven thing. :)

Yummy, healthy, kids love them.

Thanks, Obbie. I was hoping that's what you would say. I bought my pie maker yesterday and it says never cook without pastry, but I thought - if Obbie can, then so can I!!

Thought I'd try out my new machine, so I put in the base and finished making my filling. When I went to put it in the base looked like this.
I won't do that again!

Heat the filling, take the pastry out and put the two together.
