It is a long drive Cookie.  On the way down one of her tyres shred a piece of rubber off north of Meekatharra and she couldn't get a replacement until she got to Perth.

Two weeks ago she drove from Newman to Onlsow to visit a "friend" 20 kms from Nanutara Rd Hse she blew a tyre and found that her wheel lug spanner wouldn't fit. The road between Paraburdoo and Nanutarra is not well traveled.  Luckily a family stopped and took word to the road house. Then she managed to flag down a trucky who took her to the road house. There was a police patrol there that took her back to the car and got her going again.

It is a long way between anywhere up there and I always worry when she is on the road.

I'd worry to DD.  Years ago my DD asked my DH to show her how to change a tyre which proved to be invaluable as she had a puncture not long later in the wee hours.  I would have had a fit if I knew she was out there changing a tyre at 2am on the way home - it makes you so vulnerable.  She had parked in a factory car park behind some bushes though so couldn't be seen from the road.

I understand your worry too DD. As parents it never ends and increases when GK's come along. 2 of my GD's are now driving and I can't rest until I k ow they are safely home and that's in the suburbs. Your DD is driving a long way on country roads so no wonder you are relieved when she arrives safely. The joys of parenthood but we wouldn't have it any other way. We are blessed to have them.

I think the terms are interchangeable, Amy - but "pulled" sounds much more colourful!!  You can "pour" many things - a pint, a cup of tea, a glass of lemonade, water, coffee . . . etc . . . .but when you say "pulled" - it can only mean one thing . . ;D ;D (Well, that's my theory anyway!!)  Well done!! :D
