Hi Smartcat, as a Thermomix owner-to-be I'd like to welcome you to our forum - this is the place where you will spend many hours once you buy a Thermomix.  Have a good read whilst you are waiting to purchase and if you are in 2 minds, I'm sure you will be convinced to buy once you see all the lovely food we prepare in our machines.

A Sydney sider (you have a lot of company then) Yes definitely have a good look through the recipes. The thing I like best about cooking with a thermomix is that you are in control of what ingredients go into your recipe - no additives, preservatives, numbers etc.

Good luck in your decision making.  It took me a long time to get my thermomix, but now if it broke tomorrow, I'd definitely buy another.  And it just does so much more than I imagined when I decided to buy!

Yep if my house burned down this would be the only appliance I would be rushing to buy.

When we had to evacuate because of a bushfire I took my Thermie and for some reason all of my underwear. ???

Well cooking in your underwear is better than doing it naked Alexis  :D  I'd grab my TMX too  ;)
