Thermomix travel bag & February's travel bag
« on: February 09, 2012, 07:53:50 am »
Hi all

I've ordered a travel bag, the black one and my demonstrator is coming around with the green one instead because one of her customers who have just bought a TMX in Feb doesn't like green (the colour of the bag which is a gift this month).

My question is: are these bags the same quality?  I know there is one out there that is a lesser quality.  I'm just wanting to make sure I get what I pay for.

Thanks in advance for any response

I have a black travel bag. I can't imagine that there is a difference in quality because of the colour.
Having said this, if you are paying for your travel bag and ordered it in black then that is the colour you should receive.
You could always order on-line now through the new web site.

Thanks Michelle
I did look at the website and the bag isn't listed, so couldn't check.  I'm thinking the same re the quality but thought I'd ask

Cheers

IMHO the green bag is ghastly. I would much prefer a black one or even a red one (if there was one). You should get what you ordered, and not have to put up with second best just because a hostess wanted a different colour.

I've got a black one,  which I love.  Don't know anything about a green one.  Choose which colour you prefer.

Thanks Ladies

Have gone with the black one, green one was very green!  If I was getting it as a gift for free with my purchase of a machine then I'd be more than happy but as I'm paying I chose black :)

Thanks for your great responses

Good on you. I have a well travelled black one I wouldn't be without.

sounds like your consultant was trying to rip you off  - the green bag is of a lesser quality, like all the other coloured bags. the black bag is sturdier and has sturdier padding and external fabric.

i'm glad you stood your ground.

They are not the same. The black bag is very sturdy and is designed for everyday use, whereas the coloured bags are lighter and fold flat for easy storage - perfect for occasional use or holidays.

Received my black bag today.  After seeing both, there is a definite difference in quality and sturdiness, as others have said.  I'm very happy and now cant wait to take my machine with me everywhere  ;D

The Thermomix website only has the green bags for sale. How do I order a black one? Thanks :)

Hi MEP - have you tried asking your consultant to order you one?  There should be no problem.

My bag is black too and over here it is all you get as far as i know but not sure weird colours would go down too well.. The black is nice and sturdy although the stitching is starting to come undone a bit in one section but i do like that everything has its own compartment and that you can it a few books in too 😊😊

So, does the $80 basic bag come in green or black, or just green?

Does the odd shaped piece of rigid foam go on the base of the bag for the TM to sit on? It doesn't seem to fit very well in the green bag my consultant just dropped off.

Cheerio!
