I'm loving all of these ideas and seeing everyone's photos and descriptions is making me slightly envious! My oven is broken at the moment.....so it's really affecting my cooking :( Luckily I have an air fryer that I can use for some things....but I'm very limited in what I can cook in it.  :'(

Keep posting so I can get my cooking fix!!!!   ;D ;D ;D

We had home made pizzas tonight...one of our faves, mainly because kids get to make their own, so generally they eat them happily! Just browsing to find something for tomorrow!  :)

I have two favourite bliss ball type recipes....and this is definitely one of them! I think I make this recipe more often than anything else! I use cacao nibs in place of the crio bru...and love experimenting with the dried fruits. Sour cherries, cranberries dried blueberries...my favourite was a combination of dried blueberries (expensive yes, but they needed to be used before the expiry date!) and cranberries.

A great sweet treat! :)

Hi Judy, yes I do keep my Maple syrup in the fridge. Even here in fairly mild Melbourne, some friends have had mould grow in their jars when kept in the pantry :(

Hopefully yours isn't mould though!

I've just joined Costco recently and they have a pure maple syrup which is a really good price. I've just finished my first bottle!

I know you shouldn't compare recipes, but I really want to make Butter chicken! For the people who have made both, which recipe should I begin with...Quirky Cooking butter chicken or Skinnymixers one?

I bought the Little Taste of India book, glanced at the Butter Chicken recipe and put it aside because it 'looked' complicated (yes I was being lazy and it's probably not as long as it seems!) and I needed to go and buy a few ingredients!

Any thoughts on how the two recipes differ in taste? spiciness etc? Thanks! :)

ooh I forgot to mention, it was a hot day when I made them, so i wrapped the dough in glad wrap and refrigerated for an hour before rolling out.

And I also used mostly wholemeal spelt flour but didn't quite have enough so had to top up with white spelt flour.

A nice bickkie! :)

These biscuits are really moorish. My husband says they remind him of the smell of the cookie shop in the old Myer building in Melbourne.
I made the vanilla version (her variation at the bottom of the page with a whole vanilla bean). Was very happy with them. Not overly sweet, but just a good biscuit to curb a sweet craving or to have with a cuppa!

Will try the cinnamon version soon too!

Those pinwheels look great! I think my kids would love them! Another thing to add to my list!

Today I've been making some wonton/dumpling wrapper and I've just finished making the filling for the wontons....now to wrap them and put them in the varoma to steam for lunch!

I made chocolate mousse in the thermomix yesterday and I was so please with how much easier it was to do in the thermomix than using various different bowls to do it the old fashioned way! So happy! It used to put me off making it by how time consuming and messy it was!

Judy I think you're right, they probably are integral in this recipe and would add another dimension to it...but we honestly thought it was beautiful and balanced without!
I was thinking about leaving out the anchovies (I'm not the biggest fan of them either) but decided to add a small amount just because leaving out the olives and anchovies might effect the taste too much.

I'm exactly the same with olive recipes...I normally just turn the page...but this recipe just jumped out and me and I wanted to make it!  :)

Now to get through the rest of my bookmarked pages of recipes to try! Sticky notes everywhere! :-))

This pesto is really nice! Beautiful balance of flavours.
I didn't add the olives (I don't really like them so don't really buy them!) but still beautiful without!

I made it for New Year's Eve and we all enjoyed it. The following day it had solidified a little so I just whizzed it for a few seconds to loosen it.

I made the flour and duck fat tortillas (pg 29) to serve with it. YUM!

I've been busy in the kitchen today. I had a hankering for nachos late last night, so I got up this morning and made some salsa (will use on nachos this evening)

I also made some homemade bread and chickpea burgers for lunch (from Quick Fix in the thermomix). Really tasty!

Am currently deciding which smoothie/iced drink to make for afternoon tea! I love sundays! :)

This is a really nice dip. I've made it using both baby spinach leaves as well as the variation Alyce suggests using a 50/50 combination of baby spinach leaves and rocket leaves. I don't normally like rocket on it's own, it's a bit too peppery for my tastes, but in this dip, both worked out beautifully.

I find the lemon/vinegar taste to be quite strong when it is first made, but after being in the fridge for a few hours/or overnight the sharpness if that disappears and it's a really tasty chunky dip!

Will make regularly!
