Hi Everyone, another cold and damp day here.  Need a fine day to be able to start tackling the weeds that have popped up while we were away.  Still trying to catch up on all I missed and trying to get my cooking mojo back into gear!

It takes a while to return to normal after long holidays Trudy and I can imagine how tall your weeds are, especially thistles - they seem to grow overnight.

Good morning everyone, I'm being taken out today for one of my previously postponed birthday lunches - nothing like stretching a birthday month into another month.

It is indeed.  I've commented in another thread, it was an enjoyable experience albeit it a learning curve for students.

That sounds good to me Denise.
Good morning everyone, off out on a morning tea river cruise later with some Probus friends - a freebie put on by the local council.

Morning all.
Lovely morning at Invermay. Cool but sunny.
Judy, a river cruise sounds nice as does a continued Birthday season.
CC , a morning of chatter sounds like good therapy.

Good Morning everyone!! A wonderful spring morning, loving the lovely sunshine..
Had the day off yesterday with hubby after a long time, lots of shopping and we got to spend some quality time together :)
Not sure if we will be able to get that for a while once baby is here, just few more weeks to go, the countdown has begun :)

Judy, river cruise sounds lovely, hope the weather is good there..

It's certainly better than the past 2 wet days thermilover, the sun is out at the moment.  Good to see you and DH taking time out for yourselves, the little person on the way will certainly demand a lot of attention very shortly. Looking forward to hearing the happy news.

Good morning everyone.  The sun is shining but it is still quite cool.

Judy I sure you will have a lovely time on the cruise.

Hello everyone!  It's been ages since I logged on here.  I've been really busy with work and also doing things for Mum (who needs a lot more help these days).
Work is getting a bit better and this week I'm on annual leave  :D

Have been having a great week.  Visited Judy at the new nursing home on Monday.  It's a lovely facility and Geoff and Judy's Mum are in a great place.  I've been busy cooking up a storm and restocking the freezers with lots of items (fresh pasta, ricotta gnocchi, lasagne, bread, cake, passata, chicken and vegie stock).  I think I need to stop now as the freezers are bursting!

Had an interruption to my cooking yesterday and had to abandon a quiche I was making half way through.  I received a phone call from the company that monitor my Mum's safety alarm.  She had activated her alarm as she'd had a fall.  Lucky I only live 10 minutes away and could get there quickly.  An ambulance came but she didn't need to go to hospital.  She is stiff and sore from the fall, but other than that ok.  Having a 24/7 monitored alarm is a great thing to have if you're elderly and live alone.

Lovely to hear from you Katie. I'm pleased that your Mum is ok. My Mum had an alarm the same and it was a really good thing. So helpful. MIL had/has one too but she never wore it when she was in her own home.
Enjoy the rest of your break.
