Help Garlic Prawn Recipe

Hi,

Can anyone clarify the amount of oil in the Garlic Prawn recipe, seafood book? The recipe says 200g but i'm wondering if it supposed to be 20g as 200g is alot of oil.

I haven't made that recipe - but think you may need to use that amount of oil - heated for some time (forgotten and too lazy to look) so that when the prawns go in they will not cool too much and stew.  You should be able to reuse the oil I would think as the garlic shouldn't burn.  Strain oil after and keep in the fridge.
