Has anyone had any experience of making a pizza base using 100% rye flour? We are having friends coming to stay in a couple of days and will be having pizza one night, but one of our friends doesn't eat wheat flour. DH is going to give it a go, but if anyone has made one, any hints / tips / suggestions / ideas ....?

I haven’t Marina. I believe that 100% rye can be difficult. I’m sure your DH will be able to create though.

Thanks Cookie. Yes it is challenging but he loves challenges and he is working on it. We will find out how it goes today.

I was thinking that Quirky Jo may have something on her site Marina.
I just had a peek and found this one. https://www.quirkycooking.com.au/2011/01/gluten-free-pizza-base/
I have tasted a pizza base of hers when I went to one of her classes. I’m not sure if it was this one or a spelt one though. A rye base sounds delicious. I really love rye.

Thanks for following up, Cookie, I will show that link to DH.
We made the pizzas for dinner last night and our friend really liked the rye base so everyone was happy.

Well done to your DH Marina.
