Ok I have read through everyones replies...I made my first attempt a couple of days ago...I used the lights on the TMX (must get myself a thermometer) mine certainly does NOT look like any of those photos...it is thick milk...more like oobleck (goop). I added strawberry jam and white choc and the kids LOVED it! I don't like yoghurt so I can't say if it was any good LOL!

So...my error was it the hot milk was too cool when I added the yoghurt?? I put it in the fridge after...should I have kept it warm not cool??

Also...how long should it last???

Update...my consultant has been great...I still have a love/hate relationship with it....I think it is slowing down, not sure it is cooking as fast as it was...head office have not called me...but if it plays up more i will be ringing with yelling and possibly swearing. As I say...it is a love hate relationship...I was absolutely in love...but lately, we are just aquaintances...

Hi again :)

The bloody thing seems to be working again now???!!! No idea whats happened, whether it is electrical related or what?! Have spoken to my consultant too and will call head office Monday. Was just a major pain as I had party food to prepare. Didnt end up making half the stuff I had planned...lucky several people didnt show up!

Hoping this is the last of it...will not use that outlet again I think...

Hi all,

My TMX is dead for the 2nd time in about a month....it has been to the TMX dr a couple of weeks ago, and was fine until today...

Ok first trip...lid was ultra stiff, just wouldnt turn on without heaps of pressure to shut the lid, scales jumped...pretty basic stuff, fixed no worries...

Today...plugged it in...every button is on. Press the scales button and it jumps to 1 minute then counts down really fast. Does the same for every button??? Turned it off and left it...back on same again (different power point, just incase)...so much for all the things I had planned to make for my youngest daughters birthday TODAY!

Any ideas?? Is there a reset button somewhere on it??? Or have I just got an ultra dudd...getting close to demanding my money back!

Kaylene

Kaylene's Creamy Chicken Cacciatori

Serves...6

Ingredients:
500g chook thighs (can cube but i prefer to cut up my chook once it is cooked, much easier)
300mL thickened cream (I used light)
2 large cloves garlic
onion
2 tomatoes (next time I think I will put in 3)
capsicum
large bunch fresh basil (straight from the garden of course)
teaspoon stock
spices (i used the first pack that came out of the drawer...Lemon,tyme and basil seasoning)

Preparation:
Whizz garlic and onion
Saute 2 mins at 100degrees
Throw in tomato, capsicum, basil...whizz to paste
Add chook, cream stock and spices
Cook 100 degrees, speed soft 15 minutes reverse.
Serve over noodles

For extra crunch, throw in snow peas 5 minutes before end. (could also use small broccoli florettes)

Thumbs up from all 4 of my kids :) :) :) :) (and I made this as throw it all in, see what happens :) )

Photos:
sorry no photos...it wasnt the most attractive looking of meals...had a green glow ;) (I like my basil a LOT)

Tips/Hints:
You could throw ANY vege into this at the end, adds colour and texture :)

JD - enjoyed it immensely.  Only made 1/2 quantity for the 2 of us with the following changes.
My tomato was not very ripe or tasty so added 10g tomato paste to compensate.
Used frozen roasted red capsicum, only 17 large basil leaves and used Portuguese Chicken seasoning.  Cooked it for an extra 5 minutes, removed a small jugful of sauce to freeze for another use then thickened what was left using a cornflour/water mixture.
To shred the chicken, I turned it up to speed 1 for the last minute when the thickening agent went in.  I followed your advice and added some sliced snow peas after this and cooked a further minute.  Served it over thin egg noodles.

JuliaC83 - Only had whipping cream, so substituted 200g of that cream and 50g light Philli cheese instead of 300g thickened cream.
I used 3 fresh tomatoes and at the end of cooking, did what was suggested by others and threw in a cornflour/water mixture for 1 minute on slow speed to thicken. Served the dish with brown rice. All family members liked it and was very easy to make.
