Wild kangaroo DG. All minced up for only $50. So just over $1 a kg we paid.

Certainly is Halex, I was brought up on kangaroo meat. It's very good for you, is low in fat, high in omega 3, has the heart foundation tick of approval.
Good stuff.
I guess it's one of those meats that a lot of people won't even try, like ostrich, camel, crocodile etc.
I have tried ostrich once but wasn't keen. Never tried camel or crocodile. :D

They only eat grass Halex, so no problems there.  Same as what sheep, cows etc eat.

Lol. No not a chance. But there is one draw back of eating kangaroo, and that is it makes you fart :o

Hmmm, there is no way I could even contemplate bringing roo meat into this house.....my DD is dead set against it, and if you heard her rants about it....you too would just cook the beef  :P
.....hubby just discovered on his ute this morning, after chopping firewood yesterday, she had scribed on his tail gate "SAVE THE TREES".....oh dear  :P

Yes Maddy, you are going to have to post that recipe.
Yummmmmmmm

it was in the WW pressure cooker book, recipe is here  http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=10558.msg167017#msg167017

Thanks Maddy. I could only get the mini WW pressure cooking book yesterday. Will have to look for the big one tomorrow when I go Armidale.

I'm so glad you felt you could share that with the entire forum Mandi :D :D :D
And now I'm going to ask a really awkward question :-)) Does it make you fart worse than lentils do?

Dinner tonight is being delivered to us ready to eat by a dear SIL.  ;D

Astarra, how nice of SIL to bring you a meal. If I lived closer, I would come and cook you up a three course dinner, do all the washing up and then give you a foot massage :-*
