Desserts / Non Dairy Healthy Ice Cream
« on: December 14, 2009, 01:18:30 am »
Raspberry Ice Cream:

6 firm bananas
150 grams raspberries:

Peel and chop Bananas into chunks, freeze overnight. Freeze Raspberries. Next day remove fruit from freezer and soften for 20 minutes. Place fruit into Thermomix and blend until smooth. I blended on speed 9 about (I think) 15 seconds.:

not sure how to add photo so go to my web site:

The recipe originates from a Jill Dupliex cook book.

Recipe Book Recipe Reviews / Scones

I've made these twice and both times the mixture is too wet. First time I followed recipe with home made buttermilk. Second time I used milk and reduced amount of liquid. Firstly is storebought buttermilk thicker or heavier than homemade? Secondly if not then is the recipe too heavy on liquid?

Festive Seasons / Hot Cross Buns
« on: April 06, 2009, 07:55:45 am »
I recently made the Hot Cross Buns recipe from the Thermomix book. I made a slight change and replaced the currants with extra sultanas. These were the most successful Hot Cross Buns I've ever made. One small complaint - the cross mixture for the top was a little runny and next time I would reduce the amount of water.

You can see them here.
