Sauteeing question
« on: October 16, 2010, 01:03:38 pm »
Hello, I'm a semi new owner of my TMX and my question relates to sauteeing.

The recipe says to sautee the onions at 100 degrees for 2 minutes. I chop my onions in the TMX but it takes a while to heat up - does the 2min start from when it gets to 100 degrees or the entire time the bowl is heating up?

Sorry - silly question I know...

Hi Candy Apple, welcome to the forum.  If the recipe says saute for 2 minutes, just set the timer for 2 minutes - the heating up time is allowed in that 2 minutes.  I usually saute onions longer than 2 minutes - 3 or 4 normally.

Thank you Judydawn. Yes, I think its better to saute for longer than that - 2 min seems just enough time to heat the bowl.

Big thanks for the advice. :)
