Its the official Vorwerk magazine that comes out monthly, in Spain. I have subscribed for a year. Have to admit its fab! But in our kiosks, there are about 4 or 5 different monthly Thermomix magazines. But I only get this official one, as they cost 3,50€ and how many magazines and books and recipes can I read???? There are thousands everywhere!

Cakes / Re: Chocolate Sponge with Red Wine

Hi Roxy! I make this cake all the time! In fact I made it yesterday as it was my son's b'day, and he took it to school for his class mates..
No, I don't sieve it at all, however I always bake all my sponges in ring tins without centres, as I find they always cook evenly, are ALWAYS a success. No mishaps of rising or sinkings! ;)

Isnt this all a co-incidence! Or just very common.  :o :o :o :o My Father in Law is in hospital at the moment too! For just over a week with stones in his gall bladder, one is obstructing a duct and has caused lots of infection too! Lets hope they all get sorted out quickly!

Em or JD, do you leave the butterfly in, after mixing in the egg, so adding the flour with the butterfly in place?
These sound very easy and interesting!

I make a lovely paella, however the sofrito and fumet (fish stock) is made in THX, the rest is made in a paella dish on the hob, or a big deep ish frying pan, will post the recipe for you. Mine fed 6.

Well I had a bit of a nightmare a few days ago..... my fridge/freezer decided to defrost itself all on its own, just like that...no warning...no reason.... just STOPPED! Fridge/Freezer is only 2 months old so no excuse like its on its last legs! Now we know why the interior kept switching off after 3 seconds every time we opened the door! :o :o :o :o Guess it was trying to warn me :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(
You know me,  ;) ;)hate to waste anything, so made the kids bring over all their friends and fed them all up all weekend, poor "clatter" didnt stop all weekend either, had to use up all the pastries and things that I had frozen. I wouldnt let the kids out all weekend! ;D ;D ;D :D :D
This is the list of the weekend feast/party: Crumpets, waffles, pancakes, bacon and date pie (to use up pastry and defrosted bacon), cherry cheesecake (to use up frozen cheese and cherries), strawberry & custard tart (to use up pastry and eggs) Lasagne, Cannelones, Vegetable cream soup (to use up all veggies) Chilli con carne, Cheese and ham croquettes (to use up all the frozen bits of cheese and ham) Salt Steamed pork loin, and then a huge Paella on the Sunday with all the final leftovers! Whew! Am scared to get on the scales in case after last weekend I have put on the 14 kilos that I lost!  :-)) :-)) :-))

Its my new camera!!! ;D ;D ;D
They taste beautiful, not too sweet, and I even heated one up the following day a few seconds in the micro, and it was lush!
Good luck, chookie! Think they are a very healthy tea-time snack or breakfast brunch.
