Chit Chat / Re: What have you been doing today?« Last post by cookie1 on Today at 01:02:03 pm »DH marched today for the first time. He had to be in the city by 8am, which meant leaving home at 7.15am. Then I had to negotiate the streets that were closed for the March. We managed it all ok.

Chit Chat / Re: What have you been doing today?« Last post by Cuilidh on April 24, 2024, 07:30:46 pm »Unfortunately sleeping downstairs would not work for us - I would have to set up in the showroom and I don't think it would be a 'good look' when customers come in to find me lying down in bed - the other option is the workshop - I guess the guys could use my bed for storage of items waiting for repair!! My mind boggles at the thought.
Cookie thanks for your comment re. the physio helping your friend with stairs. I will definitely follow through on that. 8
Chit Chat / Re: THE SHOPPING THREAD :-)« Last post by Cuilidh on April 24, 2024, 07:26:20 pm »Isn't it funny how different techniques can be so very different and change between us all - I found chopping onions/garlic at 3 or 4 (even for only 1-2 seconds) tended to leave me with a very wet mix and this cover worked really well for me.

A friend had a staircase at his place when he had a hip replacement. He mentioned it to the Physio and she showed him the best way to negotiate it. Take care.
